

The 19th International Pakistan Physiological Conference was organized at Bolan Medical College under the auspices of the Pakistan Physiological Society Baluchistan Chapter.
National and international physiologists, researchers, physicians, and educationists participated to present their contributions in the fields of physiology, integrative medicine, biomedical sciences, and translational research.
Those who attended included: President of the Pakistan Physiological Society Prof. Dr. Rashid Mehmood, Chief Organizer of the 19th International Pakistan Physiological Conference Dr. Nargis Haider, Principal of Bolan Medical College Prof. Dr. Raz Muhammad Kakar, Dr. Samia Khan Niazi, Vice Principals of Bolan Medical College Prof. Dr. Ilyas Baloch and Dr. Ismatullah Kakar, Prof. Dr. Abdul Azeem, Dr. Sahibzada Rehmatullah, Prof. Dr. Samina Malik, Prof. Naseer Ahmed Bangulzai, Brigadier Dr. Muhammad Mazhar, Prof. Dr. Attaullah Bangulzai, Dr. Safia Mengal, Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Majeed, Prof. Dr. Yaseen Bazai, Dr. Inayat Shah and others.
Speaking to the media afterwards, Principal Bolan Medical College Prof. Dr. Raz Muhammad Kakar said that it was a matter of great fortune that the Pakistan Physiological Conference was being held after 20 years. He shared that students from various departments had prepared advanced, well-equipped scientific models for the event. He further noted that the college was originally built for 150 students but currently accommodates a much larger number of students.
He emphasized that students should stay focused, remain consistent in their academic journey, and not lose their direction. He stated that in the field of education, the role of students is even more important than that of teachers for strong academic performance. “Students’ behavior is changing, but as an institution, we are not far behind. We are making every possible effort to equip them with modern knowledge and research,” he added.
He highlighted that despite increasing negativity in society, positive and constructive activities must be promoted to counter it.
Prof. Dr. Ilyas Baloch stated that coordination with the government is ongoing, and efforts are being made to implement artificial intelligence. He added that 2 to 3 AI-based projects have already been initiated, and through artificial intelligence, medical education and healthcare can be further developed along modern lines
